The D-Rom ServiceD-Rom operates an online service from www.d-rom.com and from other locations from time to time (“
D-Rom Website”) where professional club DJs who register with D-Rom (“
Registered DJs”) may:
- download promotional recordings for free from various labels, producers and artists, who have supplied recordings to D-Rom for that purpose;
- select recordings from various artists, producers and labels from the D-Rom Website in order to create mix compilation albums (“DJ Mix Albums”) to be promoted and sold to the public.
In order to use the D-Rom Service, DJs must be represented by a professional DJ agency and must register with D-Rom.
When compiling a DJ Mix Album, a Registered DJ must first submit a list to D-Rom of the recordings that they wish to include in their DJ Mix Album. D-Rom will notify the DJ of those recordings that have been licensed and cleared for use in DJ Mix Albums. The DJ will then be entitled to use those licensed recordings (“Licensed Tracks”) in a DJ Mix Album which will be uploaded to the D-Rom Website and made available for sale to the public in digital formats via the D-Rom website and D-Rom’s digital distribution partners.
If you are a professional DJ who is represented by a professional DJ agency and you regularly, that is at least once a week, play at club nights and/or on radio and are able to provide evidence that you do so, you may apply to be registered onto the D-Rom Service.
The Agreement
If your application is successful, we will ask you to sign an agreement (“the DJ Agreement”) under which you will assign all rights in the DJ Mix Albums throughout the world to us and we will pay you a royalty for sales of your DJ Mix Albums. The DJ Agreement will last for 12 months and will then continue until terminated by either party. During each year of the DJ Agreement you will deliver at least 2 DJ Mix Albums to D-Rom. We will sell DJ Mix Albums through the D-Rom Service and shall account to you on a monthly basis for any sales.
D-Rom will be entitled to sell DJ Mix Albums using your name and logo and you will help to market DJ Mix Albums by promoting them to your database of fans and on your website and by playing at a launch event for each DJ Mix Album at no cost to D-Rom.

The D-Rom Service
D-Rom operates an online service from www.d-rom.com and from other locations from time to time (“D-Rom Website”) where professional club promoters who register with D-Rom (“Registered Promoters”) may select recordings from various artists, producers and labels from the D-Rom Website in order to create mix compilation albums (“Mix Albums”) to be promoted and sold to the public under the name of the club.
In order to use the D-Rom Service, promoters must operate a regular and well-established club night that is marketed to the dance music community, must register with D-Rom and agree to D-Rom’s terms and conditions.
When compiling a Mix Album, Registered Promoters must first submit a list to D-Rom of the recordings that they wish to include in their Mix Albums. D-Rom will notify the Registered Promoter of those recordings that have been licensed and cleared for use in Mix Albums. The Registered Promoter will then be entitled to use those licensed recordings (“Licensed Tracks”) in a Mix Album which will be uploaded to the D-Rom Website and made available for sale to the public in digital formats via the D-Rom website and D-Rom’s digital distribution partners.
If you are a professional club promoter who runs and markets a club night regularly, that is at least once a week, and are able to provide evidence that you do so, you may apply to be registered onto the D-Rom Service.
