FAQQ. The file will not play video and/or audio, why not? A. This is most likely down to a missing codec. Depending on the file in question the appropriate codec will differ - we suggest downloading updated versions of the recommended software packages for the file in question (see software section). Q. My DivX file will not play, although I have DivX installed. A. There are numerous reasons for this occurrence, rare as it is - it has been stated that in certain circumstances the installation of the XVID Codec before DivX is installed appears to be responsible for this, and there may be some cross-compatibility issue to be addressed as yet. Uninstalling the XVID codec then reinstalling Divx may resolve the problem. Also, we do not recommend the use of codec packs. There are often codecs packaged together which do not co-exist happily e.g. the Nimo Codec Pack on their download page states the following: "There is an INCOMPATIBILITY with the "TFM Audio Filter v1.0 beta 7" and the Morgan Multimedia Stream Switcher 0.95, DO NOT Install them together, chose one of them only if needed Q.
